fizzawritesAfter much mental anguish, I have broken down my application to-do pile for today into 2 pretty straightforward essays (not easy, just straightforward) and one cross-polluting pile of questions to move the answers around like puzzle pieces for three other essays.

Remind me never to post political stuff when I'm on my way out of the door, but still passionate and angry. I end up writing like the world is on fire, which is exactly what I was writing against. *le sigh*

I wish my roommates could do their laundry faster. Then again, we are lucky that we have laundry *inside* our domicile in a city.

I went out on Friday (again, with the rushing out the door), but I caught Life online (and hopefully convincing NBC to keep this show, although I imagine that moving it to Wednesday was a good sign) and well, you know.... <3 <3 <3 for this entire show. iPod switching partners! More car wreckage! Continuity from the previous season! Be still my heart.
I also did a X-files, season 2 marathon yesterday, so I am back on board the PARTNERS O' SNARK train. Here's the thing about rewatching X-files.
a.) It is so freakin' dark (meaning the lights, not the tone)without the high contrast of shows that know they're being broadcast in HD. I mean, I'm all for saving energy, but CC, dark =/= immediate scary.
b.) It really starts jamming on the conspiracy stuff in season 2, and the first very clear signs of Mulder/Scully OTP also ramp up during the season. (Dear the episode titled One Breath, Ilu forever.)
c.) On the otherside, the MOTW (oh god, oh acronyms for the win) episodes are a lot more boring in this season. I can't put my finger on it, but it has something to do with HOW DARK IT IS ALL THE TIME.

I never watched much of Season 9 (teenage angst + shipper partisan = frightfully righteous about the whole thing) - but this was actually the teaser of an season 9 episode, and oh dear... my heart.
