Which means two things:
1. My near four and a half year streak of not seeing Washington-famous people in the street continues.
2. THE BBC WASHINGTON OFFICE IS VERY CLOSE TO WHERE I WORK.

This morning, while dressing for work, I wondered if I was veering into Hel Looks territory (I doubt I could). Instead, some lady complemented me on my skirt. Of course it was something my mom had picked out.

Querying LJ Hive mind:

Anyone ever made drapes/insulated version of drapes? We have a LOT of windows, especially downstairs, and I'd like not to put my entire paycheck towards heating.

I do not, although I am a fan of (solid) color tights (NOT LEGGINGS. OH GOD, YOU'RE NOT WEARING PANTS.) But in relation to the suits and all black of downtown DC, my floral high waisted skirt and white button down might as well have been Hel Looks.

Oh, I own a couple of pairs of tights too. I just wish I could find a job where the pink tights were appropriate. I don't think I even wore leggings when they were popular the first time. Ick.

Heh. You're just bringing some color to DC. Maybe if they didn't all wear black they'd be happier and govern better. I think someone should do a study.
