Monday's attempt to fill up the time

fizzawritesseriously, my new non-sequitur might have to be "shit, does Bernanke have crossbow?". Only Xkcd would put a Federal Reserve joke in the middle of OTHER hilarity.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the Foreign Policy nerd-a-palooza, aka the last five Secretaries of State hanging out with Christiane Amanpour and talking about what the next administration should do in terms of foreign policy (My idea: send everybody cookies with a note that says "Our bad."). There is also a mysterious alumni reception, which I am slightly petrified of going by myself to.
What I can figure out is why it isn't being taped/televised. Amanpour works fairly exclusively with CNN, and it really is election related, and what, not even a mention on one of Wolf's six TVs? (gosh, I'm so glad I can break out that tag again). Colin Powell and Madeline Albright are going to throw down with Kissinger, and you don't want to air that? No? I'll guess we'll see, but CNN's schedule says *nothing*.
ETA: Wow, I could actually read the press release and figure this stuff out. They're taping it for a special to air on Sept 20th in primetime. That's more like it.
