blame the West wing marathon

'alo. Most of my afternoon involved enjoying pancakes, mimosas and bacon* with the aural and visual feast of a West Wing marathon. There was the Pilot! Someone went to emergency! Another went to jail! Lord John Marbury! Indians in the Lobby! Will Bailey was all cute and stammering when he accepted the deputy position! Good cop, bad cop! It was a little like falling in love again.

(* We may be out of college, but we are sometimes still eating otherwise))

Now I am learning the difference between the World Bank and the IMF. This is important as I'm going to interview for a company that is all about telling people what the differences between those two institutions. Yes, I'm embarrassed; my alma mater is neighbors with these institutions. I walked by them all the time. I took a class in International Econ.... no, two classes! *facepalm* Way to use that education, me.

• 22:00 doing honest to god research on Pres and VP candidates. Learned so far: commenters on news stories do not understand the def. of "fact" #
• 22:02 OMG IF I USE CAPS IT MUST BE TRUE. LISTEN! LISTEN TO ME! (see, I use CAPS when there is no discussion of fact anywhere near the building) #
• 23:12 finished first draft of a short story since... well ever it seems. Not happy with it, but v. happy with finishing something for once. #
