1. I think I'm suffering from Olympics fatigue. Bad for my last gymnastics post, good for my electricity bill (I'm v. scared about how much power the new TV is using.)
2. I can't decide if I want to keep posting my Twitter-ings to LJ. It feels a tiny bit like (actual) spam, although I do enjoy seeing the entire day in list format. Basically its LJ friends replying to each other, and well, that can get supremely out of context odd. :)
3. I'm reading Selected Letters of Martha Gellhorn - it's comforting, shocking, disappointing, life-affirming, and deep worrisome to me. I'm glad I'm at the point where I can appreciate an author for their work, their dedication, and still recognize their flaws and that I don't have to copy them EXACTLY, because things are different and I'm a very different person. Gellhorn was a fabulous bitch, hell of a writer, and nobody but her own.
4. While doing some house-cleaning around my laptop today, I cam across two unfinished SGA fics. They weren't ... bad, but it was clear that I'd lost where ever way I was going with either. I deleted them outright. Immediately I wanted them back, but then told myself that I'd just have to write something new.
5. I don't know if anyone has any info about MA Journalism programs, but I'm doing some VERY introductory research and any inside info that friends or friends of friends (Lj and otherwise!) could pass along would be supremely helpful, especially places I can't visit (anywhere that's not in the NE corridor, basically)
